Mending Hearts Charities, Inc. gives
low-income families the opportunity to become self-sufficient
and maintain economic stability.
Most of our units include utilities and our rents
are well below market rates. Affordable homes are the foundation
needed for families to begin their journey out of poverty. When
needed, we provide items ranging from bed linens and kitchen
utensils to furniture and appliances. We also work with Seminole
Volunteer Enterprises to provide each family with a monthly food
package.

Many of our families earn less than $20K per
year. Yet, just like you and I, they go to work every day,
struggling to provide their families with basic needs: housing,
food, clothing, healthcare, and day care for their children.
Our residents face the challenges of being
under-educated and under-employed. The jobs available to them are of
poor quality, low wages, and without benefits. Our families are left
without the opportunity to break out of this cycle of poverty
because they have minimal opportunity for advancement. Yet, again,
just like you and I, all they want is to achieve the American Dream.
